The Distant Sequel to Kamen Rider Coronet. Takes place at least 2 years later with reports of a new evil team emerging in a far-away region of Isshu, which is an oft-used movie setting.
Tropes used in Kamen Rider Lochgan include:
- Animorphism: Subverted in that the changes are gradual, and it doesn't become the actual Pokemon. The power suit end up ATTACHING itself the more frequent it is used. Then it becomes a Pokemon.
- Alternate Continuity: Just like with Coronet. This is it's sequel.
- Badass Biker: This being Kamen Rider, its mandatory there is. And it transforms along with the Rider.
- Big Applesauce: Isshu, but deconstructed.
- Continuity Nod: So much that they become a Chekhov's Gun at some point!
- The Riders, however, are practically becoming Homonculi.
- And the Homonculi, however, are practically becoming their creatures.
- The Riders, however, are practically becoming Homonculi.
- Loads and Loads of Characters: Counting the spin-offs? Why, of course!
- Spiritual Successor: Of Double.
