Blue (video)

Everything About Fiction You Never Wanted to Know.

Blue is a music video by Canadian band The Birthday Massacre. Blue started out as a song on their EP/LP Violet, then it became a single; and then it got a music video. Then they created the DVD Blue in 2005, which features several music videos besides Blue, along with a behind-the-scenes, the making of video. The video was directed by Dan Ouellette, who would later direct another TBM video, Looking Glass.

It's probably TBM's most famous video, due to its high levels of awesomeness, Mind Screw, and High Octane Nightmare Fuel.

No, nobody in TBM made the dolls. The dolls were made by artist Scott Radke.

Tropes used in Blue include:
  • Concept Video
  • Creepy Doll: Dolls can be seen, moving their head on their own and blinking. Sometimes they wear masks, which the pop off with their tongue.
  • Fan Service: A singer wears a bunny themed outfit.
    • Fan Disservice: The bunny themed outfit is disconcerting on some level.
